Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BaZi Destiny Map at https://www.bazifortunereading.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Yan Minghan, an individual based in Shenzhen, China ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

The Service introduces Chinese BaZi (Four Pillars) astrology and Daoist cosmology. It offers:

  • Free features: a BaZi chart (Four Pillars and Five Elements), calculated from the birth date, time and place you enter. No account is required.
  • Lifetime Access (paid): a one-time purchase that unlocks in-depth readings generated automatically by our software, including personality overviews, Five Elements balance and cultural interpretations of the Ten-Year Luck Pillars.

2. For entertainment and self-reflection only

All content on the Service is provided for entertainment, cultural learning and self-reflection only. BaZi is a traditional cultural practice, not a science. The Service:

  • does not predict specific future events and does not guarantee any outcome;
  • is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, career or relationship advice;
  • must not be used as the basis for important decisions about your health, money, legal matters, relationships or safety.

If you need advice on any of these matters, please consult a qualified professional.

3. How readings are generated

Charts and in-depth readings are generated automatically by our software, using rules and interpretations based on classical BaZi texts. They are general cultural interpretations, not personal advice. Readings are not reviewed individually by a person, and we do not guarantee their accuracy or suitability for any purpose.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase. Paid features require an account. You sign in with a one-time verification code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. An account is for one person; do not share it or resell access.

5. Lifetime Access: price, payment and scope

Price. Lifetime Access costs USD 9.99, paid once. Applicable sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on your location. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

Payment and Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. It processes your payment, calculates and collects applicable taxes, issues your receipt, and handles payment-related inquiries and refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments's own buyer terms. We never see or store your full card details.

What "Lifetime" means. Lifetime Access means access to the paid features for as long as the Service is operated by us. It is tied to your account, not to a specific device. It covers the in-depth readings available on the Service, including improvements we make to them over time. Entirely new paid products, if we ever launch any, may be offered separately.

If we close the Service. If we decide to shut down the Service permanently, we will give at least 30 days' notice on the website and by email to paying users.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. Because Lifetime Access is digital content delivered immediately, you agree at checkout that access starts right away. Where the law allows, this means you lose the statutory right to withdraw from the purchase. This does not affect refunds for technical problems described in the Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the readings or other content on the Service in bulk or for commercial purposes;
  • use bots, scripts or other automated means to access the Service or generate readings;
  • attempt to bypass the paywall or security measures;
  • interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

You may share your own personal readings with friends or on social media for non-commercial purposes.

8. Sponsored content and third-party links

The Service may show clearly labeled "Sponsored" listings and links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, products or services. Any dealings you have with third parties are solely between you and them.

9. Intellectual property

The website design, text, graphics, software and the presentation of the readings belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to view the content for your own personal use while you have access.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any content will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on content from the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Where the breach is not caused by fraud or abuse, we will give notice where reasonably possible. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are significant, we will notify paying users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
